This suburban house underwent a great transformation. The design I proposed reflected the changes and embraced the new look. Sharp geometrical shapes create a fun juxtaposition of architectural construction materials agains softness of ornamental grasses.
As this front garden matures the top of the corten steel planter will fill in with no mow ornaments grass replacing traditional suburban lawn. Although anapolatgeticaly modern, at heart, it is still an English garden. None of these plant are strangers in a formal flower bed - Boxwoods, Hornbeams, Liriope, Lamb's ear, Lavender and many others. I just placed them in a more contemporary arrangement.
The garden was designed and installed with low maintenance in mind. Plant materials chosen will also add structure in the winter months.
