This tiny little garden is only 10' x 30'. The client had a strong idea about what the garden should look like. Two Ipe benches have Yews planted in between. Once the evegreens will fill in they will be clipped at the same height as the benches creating one smooth uninterupted line. To brake up the modern elements 100 year old bricks were brought in from Midwest to soften this urban garden. In the afternoon the dappled sunlight animates the gray fencing with lovely moving pattern. A privacy fence with a door was installed to offer the client additional privacy and storage area. 3 Birches against the fence serve as architectural element and a strong focal point.
